SKIN DEEP: THEN AND NOW
FRIDAY OCTOBER 23, 2020 – TUESDAY MARCH 02, 2021
Available for viewing Monday through Saturday 10am – 6pm
It’s hard to believe but it has been 10 years since the opening of Skin Deep (October 23, 2010), the mission of the show addressing race relations between Blacks & Whites through the arts.
The artists: Zeal Harris, Monique Birault, Richard Turner, Ted Meyer, Garth Trinidad, Jackie Nach, Miles Regis, Franceska Schifrin and curator Liz Gordon started a conversation in The Loft at Liz’s, bringing our LA Art Community together for a conversation that 10 years later has finally surfaced into the mainstream. Skin Deep: Then and Now will feature its original lineup and will be comprised of available works from the initial show as well as new artworks inspired by our current times.
