34 Days of Dance – Samba

The third installment of our month-long celebration of the art of dance continues as we welcome dancer and singer Carol Bach-y-Rita on Thursday March 24th for an evening of Samba.  Proceeds from this event will aid in the ongoing relief efforts in Japan.

Originating in Africa and most often identified in its relation to Brazilian culture, samba is a lively, rhythmic and exuberant dance with deep historical roots. It’s also sexy, flirtatious and fun!  Singles and couples alike are welcomed to join us as we partake in an hour of professional instruction with free dance, libations, music and festivities throughout the duration of our evening.

This event coincides with our exhibition “34 Days of Dance” featuring 13 amazing artists
and their respective visual take on the art of dance.  You can click here to view details on this exhibit.
Tickets may be purchased at the door. We do, however, recommend that our guests RSVP in advance as we have a limited capacity for this event.  Course instruction cost is $20 per person.  Please contact our gallery staff at (323) 939-4403 ext. 6 if you wish to secure your reservation or have any questions in regard.  Comfortable shoes and a smile are also recommended.
