ONE SHOT : ONE WORLD features the work of artists: Clayton Campbell, Mike Saijo, Mei Xian Qiu, Phil Tarley, Ben von Mahler and Jeff Frost (Projects Room). Our annual photographic exhibition adopts its title and theme from the IPA (Int’l Photography Awards) competition.
Each year we launch for MOPLA (Month of Photography LA) with our showing of top IPA photographs and a curated selection of top artists exhibiting thematically associated works.
Professional, emerging and student photographers were invited to submit a single photograph that shares a unique perspective on cultural environment with a focus on people, physical surroundings or objects. Competitors vied for $2250 in cash prizes and the opportunity to exhibit their work during the Month of Photography Los Angeles (MOPLA). Jurors included Amy Wolff (Photo Editor, PDN), Damien Poulain (Founder, Oodee) and Robert Berman (Robert Berman Gallery).

MOPLA’s mission is to champion photography through a variety of programs serving diverse audiences from LA’s talented at-risk youth to emerging and master photographers. This year mark’s the sixth installment of MOPLA, a citywide initiative to celebrate the still image through installations, exhibitions, discussions and projections.
