CAAM, the California African American Museum and The Loft at Liz’s co-curated this year’s Diverted Destruction 6 found object assemblage show. Diverted Destruction, now in its sixth year, presents works from cast-off objects often destined for landfill. This show marks the first time the museum has collaborated with a private gallery to introduce local African American artists to new audiences at new venues.
The Loft at Liz’s featured the work of artists:
Dale Brockman Davis, Charles Dickson, Doug Pearsall, Teresa Tolliver, Timothy Washington, Max Finkelstein, Matjames Metson, Dennis Blevins and CHEBY.
CAAM features the works of Dale Brockman Davis, Derrick Maddox, Richard Turner, Joe Sims and Rosalyn Myles. The museum has extended their Diverted Destruction 6 exhibition through January 20, 2014.
