Two mirror cubes 10″ x 10″ x 10″ with Mylar and water
This sound installation is part of drawing series that focuses on inscribed, invisible or transformative lines produced with one of the five elements; in this case water. The Buddhist concepts of detachment and impermanence are explored within a fragility and ephemeral quality of the drawing while evoking a meditative state. A viewer becomes an integral part of the installation due to the reflective properties of both, water and mirror. The patterns are created on the water surface with the sound waves beyond hearing. This drawing is live and re/creates itself into eternity as long as it has power supply.
