Teresa Tolliver is an African-American artist who is a native of Los Angeles.  She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from California State University, Northridge and has won numerous awards and Grants from the California Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the cities of Los Angeles, Pasadena and Anaheim.

Teresa has over twenty-five year experience as an arts educator working with children, youth and adults: Theatre of Hearts/Youth First, California Youth Authority, Music Center and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

As a master ceramist, painter and mixed media artist, Teresa Tolliver incorporates the influences of the African and Native American cultures into her work.  She has exhibited at the Afro-American Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art Center in Kansas City, the Smithsonian, and the Skirball Cultural Center.
