ARTIST STATEMENT

The focus of the installation is the holy media, like the Host, connected with hundreds of ants. The result is a sort of procession through space seeking something. But this jarring relationship is instead a secret and harmonic covenant: the Host is so light and delicate like the ants that inhabit on it with respectful and silent delicacy.

BIO

Francesca was born in 1980 in Milano, where she lives and works. Her drawing passion started in 2004 with Galleria Toselli, where she held her first solo exhibition in 2006. In her drawings on paper Francesca uses pencils, brushes and scalpel to cut into the ephemeral side, the weak side.
